Holy Basil
An adaptogenic herb widely used in Ayurvedic medicine. Often referred to as the “Queen of Herbs,” it is valued for stress and immune support.
Does it really work?
Some studies show it may reduce stress, support blood sugar balance, and act as an anti-inflammatory. Evidence is promising but still limited.
What are the natural sources?
Consumed as tea, tincture, or capsules. The fresh leaves are also used in Ayurvedic cooking.
Do I need a supplement for everyday health?
Supplements may be useful for stress support or mild metabolic balance.
Any cautions?
May lower blood sugar and thin blood slightly. Not recommended during pregnancy, and caution with fertility concerns. Consult health care provider and or herbal clinician.
